A company hosts an LIA student by providing relevant work, naming a supervisor and following the student's development together with the school. Planning should begin before the placement is published.
Plan the work and supervision
Choose tasks that fit the program and can be completed during the placement. Decide who is responsible for onboarding, regular check-ins and communication with the school.
Be clear in the listing
Describe what the student will work on, which skills are needed, where the work takes place and the placement dates. Clear information leads to more relevant applications.
- Name the most important tasks.
- Explain what support the student receives.
- Separate requirements from optional advantages.
Follow up from start to finish
Give the student access to the right tools and people from day one. Hold short recurring check-ins, adjust tasks when necessary and finish with clear feedback on the student's work.
